Terms of service

The service

LinkIt lets you save and organize URLs, retrieve page metadata and previews, search a local library, and, where included in your current plan, use cloud synchronization, AI-assisted summaries and classification, collection sharing, and the customer web application.

LinkIt is local-first, but it is not a backup guarantee. Features that retrieve pages, use AI, synchronize, share, verify an entitlement, or run in a browser need a working network connection and the relevant third-party services.

Your account and eligibility

• You must provide accurate sign-in information, keep your credentials and devices secure, and promptly act if you believe the account is compromised.
• A LinkIt account is personal to you and remains separate from accounts for the Kajodex website and other Kajodex products.
• You must be legally able to enter into these terms. If you are a minor, use of a paid service requires permission from a parent or legal guardian where applicable law requires it.
• You are responsible for activity through your account until you secure it or notify us of unauthorized access.

Plans, features, and limits

LinkIt may offer free and paid functionality. The app, storefront, and purchase screen show the features, limits, billing period, and eligibility that actually apply before you purchase or use a restricted feature. Those current disclosures control over older marketing material.

• Some cloud, AI, synchronization, web, or sharing functions may require an active LinkIt Pro entitlement.
• Operational limits may apply to AI processing, request rates, shared-collection size, storage, and abusive or unusually heavy use. We may enforce reasonable limits needed to protect service availability and cost.
• If a paid entitlement ends, local data already stored on your device is not intentionally deleted merely because the entitlement ended. Cloud features may become unavailable until access is restored.

Paid subscriptions, renewal, and billing

If LinkIt offers you a paid subscription, it is purchased through the purchase platform shown on your device and may renew automatically for the billing period shown at checkout. The storefront shows the final price, currency, taxes, renewal terms, and any eligibility conditions before you confirm. That checkout information controls.

• Apple or Google charges the store account used for the purchase and handles the payment method, receipt, tax treatment, and storefront purchase record. Kajodex does not receive your full payment-card details.
• Paid access is linked to the LinkIt account used with the purchase and the corresponding store purchase. Use the correct LinkIt and store accounts when restoring access on another device.
• A promotion or introductory offer, if one is shown to you, is governed by the eligibility, duration, renewal, and other conditions displayed by the storefront before purchase.

Cancellation, account deletion, and refunds

• Manage or cancel a subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play account where it was purchased. Uninstalling LinkIt does not cancel a subscription.
• Deleting your LinkIt account does not automatically cancel a storefront subscription. Cancel the subscription in the store before deleting the account to prevent future renewal charges.
• Cancellation normally prevents the next renewal. Access continues or ends according to the storefront terms and any refund decision.
• Refund requests are handled under the purchase platform’s rules and applicable mandatory consumer law. If the store directs you to the developer, contact billing@kajodex.com about a charge or refund, or orders@kajodex.com for help identifying a purchase.

Saved links, third-party pages, and AI output

• You are responsible for the URLs and other information you add, and for having the right to save, process, and share that material.
• A source website may change, remove, block, or restrict its content. LinkIt does not control third-party pages, embeds, availability, cookies, safety, or terms.
• AI-generated titles, summaries, tags, categories, translations, and reading estimates may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. Review important information at the original source and do not rely on AI output as legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
• Do not submit confidential, secret, or access-controlled material for AI processing unless you have authority to do so and accept the processing described in the LinkIt privacy policy.

Collection sharing

• Share a collection only with an intended recipient and only when you have the right to disclose its names, descriptions, links, and generated metadata.
• A share may disclose the owner’s email address and display name to the recipient and the recipient’s email address and display name to the owner.
• Recipients receive read-only access through LinkIt, but Kajodex cannot prevent them from opening, copying, or separately saving information they can see.
• Revoking a share removes future LinkIt access to that share; it does not recall copies already made outside the service.

Your content and the permission needed to operate LinkIt

You keep your rights in the URLs, collection text, and other content you provide. You grant Kajodex a limited, non-exclusive permission to retrieve, copy, process, generate metadata from, store, synchronize, display, and transmit that content only as needed to provide, secure, and support the LinkIt features you choose.

This permission ends when the relevant content and required synchronization copies are deleted, except for limited retention described in the privacy policy or required by law. It does not give Kajodex ownership of your content.

Acceptable use

• Do not use LinkIt unlawfully, infringe another person’s rights, or process or share material you are not entitled to use.
• Do not attempt to access another person’s account, library, shares, tokens, or data.
• Do not probe, scrape, overload, disrupt, automate abuse of, or bypass security, entitlement, rate, storage, or usage controls.
• Do not use LinkIt to distribute malware, deceptive material, illegal content, or instructions intended to compromise systems or people.
• We may restrict or suspend activity that violates these terms or creates a security, legal, cost, or availability risk.

Privacy

The LinkIt privacy policy explains which data stays on your device, which records reach the cloud service, how saved pages and AI requests are processed, which providers receive data, and how to exercise data-protection rights.

Availability and service changes

• We aim to keep LinkIt available but do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently compatible operation.
• We may make security, compatibility, provider, capacity, or operational changes and may change non-essential features for justified reasons.
• If a change materially and negatively affects a paid digital service, we will provide the notice and remedies required by applicable consumer law.
• If we discontinue LinkIt, we will provide reasonable advance notice where practicable and handle active paid access as required by the storefront and applicable law.

Kajodex rights

LinkIt, its software, visual design, trademarks, and service infrastructure belong to Kajodex or its licensors. These terms give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use LinkIt while you comply with them; they do not transfer ownership of the service or software.

Consumer rights and warranties

LinkIt is provided with the statutory conformity, security-update duties, and remedies required for digital services in your country. Any availability limitation in these terms applies only to the extent permitted by law and does not remove mandatory rights concerning defects, price reduction, cancellation, or refunds.

No software is perfectly secure, and a local-first design does not eliminate device loss, account compromise, provider failure, or synchronization conflicts. Keep separate copies of material you cannot afford to lose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Kajodex is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss caused by a third-party page or service, or loss caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability under mandatory consumer-protection law.

Suspension and termination

• You may stop using LinkIt and delete your account at any time, subject to the separate storefront-cancellation warning above.
• We may suspend or terminate an account for a material breach, unlawful use, fraud, non-payment, or a serious security, cost, or availability risk. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to correct the issue.
• Account deletion removes server-side records as described in the privacy policy. It cannot remotely erase local data already stored on your devices or information already copied by a share recipient.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Finnish law. If you are a consumer, you also retain the mandatory protections of your country of residence. Contact support@kajodex.com first so we can try to resolve a problem.

A Finnish consumer may seek guidance from Consumer Advisory Services and may refer a dispute to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board. You may also use any court or dispute-resolution channel available under mandatory law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when LinkIt, its providers, paid-service structure, or applicable law changes. We will announce material changes in the application, by email, or through another durable notice before they take effect where required. The date below identifies the current version.
