LinkIt

Delete your LinkIt account

You can request permanent deletion of your LinkIt account and associated LinkIt data either inside LinkIt or by verified email. The email option works even if you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in.

This page applies only to LinkIt. Deleting a LinkIt account does not delete an account for the Kajodex website or another Kajodex product.

Delete inside LinkIt

  1. Open LinkIt while signed in and go to Settings.
  2. In Danger Zone, choose Delete Account.
  3. Read the confirmation, enter the requested confirmation text, and confirm. The request cannot be undone after it completes.

What deletion means

What the in-app process deletes

  • The LinkIt Firebase Authentication identity used to sign in.
  • The records in your LinkIt cloud database partition, including saved-link metadata, collections, synchronization records, incoming share records, and backend subscription-entitlement state.
  • Account-linked operational metrics, throttle state, private-dashboard profile, and dashboard index membership.
  • The service removes recipient-side projections for collections you shared before deleting the account. Information a recipient already opened or copied outside LinkIt cannot be recalled.

What needs separate action

  • Apple App Store or Google Play subscriptions: cancel in the relevant store. Account deletion and uninstalling LinkIt do not cancel them.
  • Local LinkIt data on your devices and device or cloud backups: uninstall LinkIt or clear its app data on every device where you want the local copy removed.
  • Links or collection information a recipient copied outside LinkIt, and content hosted by the original source websites: LinkIt cannot delete those copies or third-party source content.

Other account-linked records

The automated in-app operation removes the Firebase identity, the account’s Azure Cosmos DB records, and account-linked Upstash operational metrics. Separate systems may still hold shared cached favicons, short-lived application logs, diagnostic records, support correspondence, and storefront, RevenueCat, tax, or transaction records.

A verified email request lets us identify remaining account-linked records, request applicable processor deletion, and erase or de-identify them where there is no legal or security reason to retain them. We will explain if a specific record must be retained. The LinkIt privacy policy gives more detail.

Processing the request

  • The in-app request runs against the LinkIt service after you confirm it. If the service reports a failure, keep the app signed in and retry or use the email path.
  • An email request is processed after we can verify that you control the account. We may ask only for information reasonably needed to verify ownership or locate relevant records.
  • Deletion is permanent. Signing in again later may create a new LinkIt account, but it will not restore the deleted cloud library.
