Kopigo

Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Kopigo, an application and related account service provided by Kajodex in Helsinki, Finland ("Kajodex", "we", "us"). By creating a Kopigo account or using Kopigo, you agree to these terms.

Kopigo may be available in pre-release testing before public launch. Pre-release access may be interrupted or changed while we prepare the service, but your mandatory rights under applicable law are not affected.

The service

Kopigo lets you send text between devices registered to your own account. Your devices encrypt clipboard content before it reaches the service. The service relays encrypted envelopes and manages your account, devices, delivery acknowledgements, and subscription status.

Kopigo is a transfer tool, not a backup or archival service. Undelivered encrypted envelopes currently expire after 30 minutes, and local clipboard history is limited to the 50 newest sent and 50 newest received entries on each device.

Your account and eligibility

  • You must provide accurate sign-in information, keep your credentials confidential, and promptly act if you believe your account is compromised.
  • A Kopigo account is personal to you. Register only devices that you own or control.
  • You must be legally able to enter into these terms. If you are a minor, you may use a paid plan only with permission from a parent or legal guardian where required.
  • You are responsible for activity performed through your account and devices until you notify us or secure the account.

Plans and limits

  • Free permits up to 3 active devices and 5 logical sends in a rolling 24-hour period. Sending one item to several devices counts as one send.
  • Premium permits up to 10 active devices, removes the product send quota, and enables on-device camera text recognition and QR scanning in supported mobile builds.
  • Both plans use the same end-to-end encryption and local encrypted history. Payment does not change the security model.

If Premium ends while more than 3 devices remain active, Kopigo does not delete devices or local history. New sends are blocked until you reduce the active device count to the Free limit or Premium becomes active again.

Paid subscriptions, trials, and renewal

Premium is offered as an automatically renewing monthly or yearly subscription through the purchase platform available on your device. The intended euro prices are €1.99 per month and €11.99 per year. Your storefront shows the final price, currency, billing period, and applicable taxes before purchase, and that checkout information controls if it differs from this page.

  • Eligible new subscribers may receive a 14-day free trial. Eligibility is determined by Apple App Store or Google Play and is not guaranteed for every account.
  • After an eligible trial, the subscription automatically renews for the selected monthly or yearly period unless you cancel before the storefront’s stated renewal deadline.
  • Apple or Google charges your store account and handles the payment method, receipt, tax treatment, and storefront purchase record. Kajodex does not receive your full payment-card details.

Premium access is linked to both the Kopigo account used for the purchase and the corresponding store purchase. Sign in to the correct accounts when restoring access on another device.

Cancellation, account deletion, and refunds

  • Manage or cancel the subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play account where it was purchased. Uninstalling Kopigo does not cancel a subscription.
  • Cancellation normally stops the next renewal. Premium remains available until the end of the paid or trial period unless the storefront ends access earlier or issues a refund.
  • Deleting your Kopigo account does not automatically cancel a store subscription. Cancel the subscription in the store before deleting the account to prevent future renewal charges.
  • Refund requests are handled under the purchase platform’s rules and applicable mandatory consumer law. Contact support@kajodex.com if the store directs you to the developer or you need help identifying a purchase.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use Kopigo unlawfully or to infringe another person’s rights.
  • Do not attempt to access another user’s account, devices, keys, or data.
  • Do not probe, overload, disrupt, automate abuse of, or bypass the service’s security, rate, device, or storage controls.
  • We may restrict or suspend activity that violates these terms or creates a security or availability risk for other users.

Your content and privacy

You keep all rights to the content you transfer. You grant us only the limited technical permission required to receive, temporarily store, and transmit encrypted envelopes and related routing metadata. You are responsible for the content and for having the right to transfer it.

The Kopigo privacy policy explains what reaches the service, what stays local, which providers process account and subscription data, and how long data is retained. The Kopigo security page explains the encryption design and its limits.

Availability and service changes

  • We aim to keep Kopigo available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
  • We may make security, compatibility, or operational changes and may change non-essential features for justified reasons without additional cost during a paid period.
  • If a change materially and negatively affects a paid digital service, we will provide the notice and remedies required by applicable consumer law.
  • If we discontinue Kopigo, we will provide reasonable advance notice where practicable and handle active subscriptions as required by the storefront and applicable law.

Kajodex rights

Kopigo, its software, visual design, trademarks, and service infrastructure belong to Kajodex or its licensors. These terms give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use Kopigo while your account is active; they do not transfer ownership of the service or its software.

Consumer rights and warranties

Kopigo is provided with the statutory conformity and remedies required for digital services in your country. Any "as available" description in these terms applies only to the extent permitted by law and does not remove mandatory rights concerning defects, security updates, price reductions, cancellation, or refunds.

No software is perfectly secure. The security page describes what Kopigo protects and the limitations you should consider before transferring highly sensitive material.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Kajodex is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability under mandatory consumer protection law.

Suspension and termination

  • You may stop using Kopigo at any time and may delete your account through the application, subject to the separate store-cancellation warning above.
  • We may suspend or terminate an account for a material breach of these terms, unlawful use, fraud, or a serious security or availability risk. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to correct the issue.
  • Account deletion removes server-side account data as described in the privacy policy. It cannot remotely erase encrypted local history already stored on another device.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Finnish law. If you are a consumer, you also retain the mandatory protections of your country of residence. Please contact support@kajodex.com first so we can try to resolve a problem.

A Finnish consumer may seek guidance from Consumer Advisory Services and may refer a dispute to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board. You may also use any court or dispute-resolution channel available to you under mandatory law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when Kopigo, its pricing, or applicable law changes. We will announce material changes in the application, by email, or through another durable notice before they take effect where required. The date below identifies the current version.
