You can have your Kopigo account and its server-side data deleted at any time. Deletion is currently handled as a verified support request; a self-service control will be added to the account portal when the supporting service functionality exists.
How to request deletion
- Email support@kajodex.com with the subject "Delete my Kopigo account".
- Send the request from the email address your Kopigo account is registered with, so we can verify that the request comes from the account owner. We may ask a follow-up question to confirm ownership before deleting.
- We confirm by reply once deletion is complete.
What gets deleted
- Your Kopigo sign-in account (Firebase Authentication record).
- Your account record and subscription status in the Kopigo service.
- All registered devices, their public keys, and their encrypted device-name envelopes.
- Any queued encrypted transfers and transfer receipt metadata.
- Any Android push notification registration.
What is not on our servers to delete
Kopigo’s design keeps your content on your devices, so most of your data never reaches us in readable form in the first place:
- Clipboard text exists in plaintext only on your devices. In transit it is end-to-end encrypted and deleted on delivery or within 30 minutes.
- Clipboard history, OCR images, and recognized text are stored only on your devices. Deleting the server account does not remove the local app data on your devices — uninstall the app or clear its data to remove local content.
Timing
- We action verified deletion requests without undue delay.
- Routine encrypted backups of service data, where they exist, roll off on their own short retention schedule after the live data is deleted.
